How many teachers do you have? How often do your students preach?" and other questions. Read his entire report, "Looking Again at Teaching Homiletics".

PEP (the Preaching Excellence Program) has always been for Episcopal seminarians, but now it can be for you, too. You will prepare and deliver two sermons in a preaching group of peers and attend lectures by outstanding preachers and teachers of preaching on the campus of Villanova University. We begin Sunday evening and conclude Friday morning. Cost is $750 and includes room, board and the program.
Each week, the Rev. Barb Schmitz, the Interim Chaplain at Cornell University, provides sermon ideas and resources pertaining to the Revised Common Lectionary.

Dr. Fred Craddock will be delivering the DuBoise Lectures at the University of the South, Sewanee, Tennessee. In conjunction with this event the Episcopal Preaching Foundation and the School of Theology will be sponsoring two workshops, one before the lectures and one after. The first will be on inductive preaching this Advent. The second will be on applying the learnings from Dr. Craddock's lectures to our own preaching. Dr. Craddock will be a participant in both workshops. The event costs $25, but you are responsible for your own transportation and lodging.
